We want to make sure you understand the terminology of security and data protection so here is a quick tutorial:
End User: The person using the device
End Point: The device people are using. In some instances organizations will have more than one staff using a device.
End Point Protection: Antivirus Software
Password Manager: A software the securely stores your passwords. It’s good business practice to not use your browser’s password manager.
Data Backup: Having more than one copy of your business files as a precaution against of the worse case scenario (fire, flood, theft, hacker, etc).
Cloud Services: The cloud is a great modality to leverage when keeping staff and files connected remotely. Might be useful in a pandemic!
You need some form of computer to do your work, right? Desktop, all-in-one, tablet, laptop, convertible….
You need something to store your files on – one device onsite, two off site as back ups…
You’ll need a network not only to connect your computers and files, but also connect you to the internet…
When you are on that device looking at your files that you saved from the internet, you’ll need a printer to share the materials with your staff and/or clients.
While this is starting to feel like “When you give a Moose a Muffin,” it’s not far off.
Tech devices are the cornerstone to the work that we do. The more you are doing for your clients, the more systems you will need to automate and support that work.

Persons on this track service are able to participate in our twice monthly workshop on strategic planning, DE&I, leadership, and other organizational wellness topics. Our KovirOrg team will prepare some points and questions for these round table styled workshops. Each workshop will have a focus and we encourage you to bring your documentation and questions – input for no additional cost!
