Michigan Licensure Supervision

We love working with social work interns at the bachelor’s or master’s level! Interns bring a fresh perspective to our work, ask great questions, and increase Kovir’s capacity to make a positive impact.
We offer 5-7 remote internships each semester which allows you to set your own schedule. You will meet with your supervisor once a week for one hour as well as have a group supervision once a month. We encourage you to connect with your fellow interns!
The work we offer you is diverse, feel free to look around this website for insights on the scope of our work. This is macro-practice so you will not hold a caseload of individuals.
You can expect to do research, presentations, shadow meetings, and facilitate groups. You can expect to create white papers and policies based on your interest, capacity level, and client need.
In social work, we discuss person center planning with our clients, and that’s how we at Kovir approaches supervision with you. Our sessions will be designed to fit your needs, develop your toolbox, and accomplish your goals.
Our current supervision clients are doing research and launching their own businesses.
Supervision sessions run for an hour per NASW Licensure requirements. While the primary focus will be on the work you are engaged with, staple topics we’ll cover throughout our time together will include, but is not limited to:
Are you a supervisor who is a social worker? Do you supervise interns? Social Workers? Other staffers?
Initially created as a flexible supervisory directory listing site, it has grown into a place for supervisors to educate each other and enjoy peer support.
